Where Do You Start?
The same place everyone starts. Sitting down, closing your mouth, and learning to count your breaths without losing count. It sounds trivial. It is not.
3 Pillars of Practice
These three areas of life work together as one system. You cannot fully develop one without the others — and meditation is the foundation that makes everything else possible.
1. Mindfulness Meditation
The foundation. This is where you build the mental and emotional skills everything else depends on. Without it, the other two pillars are just ideas.

Sit upright. Back straight. Head level. Mouth closed. Eyes open, cast downward at about a 75-degree angle toward the floor — not closed. Count one breath in and out as one count. Count to ten. Start again.
When your mind wanders — and it will, probably before you hit three — notice it, let go of wherever it went, and start back at one. No frustration. Starting over is the practice.
You can do this anywhere. Waiting in line. On a break. Before bed. All day long.
